Since we launched Blackberry Productions back in 2011 we have made a number of subtle adjustments to the brand to modernise and update the look and feel of the business in line with the ever changing world, but nothing quite as big as this.
For the past six months we have been working with an external design agency to dig deep into who we are, what we do, our identity and what we stand for.
So, after a lot of soul searching and with the blessing of the founding directors we are changing our name and our brand.
From today we are Blackberry Events.
Our philosophy has always been simple, to work with clients to create and deliver unforgettable events that exceed expectations, by utilising our teams passion, creativity and experience to focus on the purpose and required outcomes of each event.
Having built a reputation for delivering purpose driven events over the last 12 years, Blackberry has always been known as an agency centred around people, passion and purpose – three core values that remain at the heart of the business.
A colleague once said “the value of a business lies in its values as a business” and we can’t help but wholeheartedly agree.
Over the past 12 years we’ve occasionally had conversations about the word ‘production’ and how this term is now often associated with technical audio visual support, something we don’t offer in isolation. While we do offer AV support within our event management services, we didn’t want to limit ourselves, or give the impression that technical production is all we do when it’s one of the many services we provide to our clients.
What we do is events. Most typically from start to finish providing a full service.
Also recognising that we do things today that we didn’t do back in 2011 and our business name and brand should reflect this.
With a new name comes a new logo, a new look and feel across our socials and a new website.
Over the next few weeks and months we will be rolling out the new look and launching a new blog post series which will dive into any Blackberry news, industry insights and our thoughts and opinions on a range of current topics.
