Blackberry Events have delivered the West Midlands Tourism Awards for the past three years and 2026 was their best event to date.
The event recognises and celebrates excellence across theWest Midlands tourism and hospitality sector and welcomes over 250 delegates each year.
The objectives of the West Midlands Tourism Awards 2026 are closely aligned with the West Midlands Growth Company’s strategic priorities to growand promote the region’s visitor economy.
The event aimed to:
· Celebrate and recognise excellence across the West Midlands tourism and hospitality sector, showcasing the very best businesses, people and experiences.
· Promote the strength, diversity and quality of the region’s visitor economy to enhance its reputation as a leading UK destination.
· Support the continued growth of tourism by highlighting innovation, resilience and best practice across the sector.
· Provide a platform for regional winners to gain national recognition through the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
· Bring together industry leaders, stakeholders and partners to strengthen collaboration and drive future opportunities.
· Deliver a high-quality, prestigious event that reflects the importance of tourism in creating jobs, attracting investment and supporting inclusive economic growth across the region.

A glamourous evening filled with inspiration, celebration and connection.
The event welcomed a diverse audience of attendees from across the tourism and hospitality sector, including:
· Industry leaders and business owners, most whowere nominated for awards
· Representatives from hotels, attractions andcultural organisations in the West Midlands
· Local authorities
· Students from Birmingham College University there to learn valuable work experience
The audience represented a cross-section of the West Midlands visitor economy, creating valuable networking opportunities and reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the region.

This year’s West Midland’s Tourism Awards boasted new and exciting developments such as their new host venue, the prestigious and newly launched Masters Suite at the Belfry Hotel andResort and a new award category for the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Tourism Award’.
The event also had the Major of West Midlands in attendance as a guest speaker, with the aim of showing local businesses gratitude for their impact on tourism in the area and inspiring them to continue their efforts.
Blackberry Events were once again chosen to be the event management partner for the event delivering:
· Event concept development and planning
· Venue management ensuring logistics, running orders and communication remained smooth throughout the planning and delivery of the event
· Delegate management and communications to ensure all attendees had a seamless experience at every touch point and allaccessibility and dietary requirements were met
